Peter Hansen was born and raised in Yosemite National Park, California. He was surrounded by natural beauty at an early age. Early art instruction began with his grandmother who was an artist in southern California. His neighbor in Yosemite was the famous photographer, Ansel Adams. Peter has also gained a following for his abstract canvases breaking down the rugged landscape into pure color.
