Her inspiration for the Unapologetically American series rises from a desire to unite two political sides that have drawn lines in the sand. People love nothing more than to sit and discuss politics on a slow night at the OBl. There are many people she loves on both sides of the fence yet Jill believes we must remember we are all Americans. Jill hopes to inspire everyone to look at the flag in a new way and realize there is a lot that goes on underneath and we are all part of that. Patriotism is not a side, it is not a political party, politics keeps us divided. The flag stands for freedom for all of us. This series was completed in time for the 4th of July 2010. A silent speech saying that if we stand together as Americans, let our voices be heard, eliminate party lines, know who we are voting for, then our votes will eventually change our politicians and then our politics, then that will begin to get our country back on track, a revolution of the mind.
